first, now i really do see it, feel it, and fully understand about the chinese sayings:

direct self translation: one minute of performance on stage, ten years of hard work behind the stage.

luck is something that we cannot deny. it plays quite a major role in examinations. if you're unlucky, all your hard work wasted. when the result comes out, it looks as though you did not put in any effort when actually, only you yourself know how much midnight oil you've burnt during those late nights.
careless is another thing. if there's extra time, then one would get to check back to see if there's calculation error. minor careless mistakes are still acceptable, even though that would be a pity. however, WHAT HAPPENED TO ME THIS MORNING WAS, the careless mistake i did, is not minor, but cause the whole question which worth 15 marks to be gone!! :'(
many would say, aiya what had happened had already happened, there's no point looking back!
Yea that's right, but at the same time, i couldn't help feeling DISAPPOINTED about it. i will move on, but i can't help(it's emotions, they come naturally) to look behind too.
looking back does nothing to the result, i know. but once in a while, let me do that, because i don't want to go against my own feelings. i'm neither that great nor that strong enough to let go the past and look forward with high spirit. im not.

yes, sometimes there's luck factor in exams. but luck alone wont get get u from a D to an A. luck only comes into play when it's a B+ Vs A- situation. In science, we believe in luck but still luck favors the prepared mind, or those more observant, more open minded scientists, those who spent their time talking with people, getting ideas or ponder deep inside themselves althou in actual life u see them taking bath or listening to music. it just 'pop', then lights up!
anyhow, i'm dragging this too far. just wanna say, an exam is not EVERYTHING in life. althou it seems like it IS now (u have to trust me on this, at least for now coz i passed that stage). if u have given ur best, then there's no regret. think about passion and preserverance, which will mean a lot more when u face life in future.
yea, im aware that luck cant get one frm D to A, but plays its role when its between B+ and A- and thats exactly wad im.... worried right now. hahah ok i know grades is not everything in life, but i guess i just want to get at least what i... deserve. for the effort that i've put in, all i wish is just to be rewarded by results that i feel i deserve.. but if i dont get them, like what you said, i've tried my best and there's no regrets. :S
how do u know what kind of result is correlate to the effort that you put in? how do u measure it? hehe well, try ur best n let the result speak for itself
hahah, not to say measure. but i know where's my standard mar, so would like to at least get it.
even better, if miracles happen, hahah im sure everyone would love to get sumthing unexpected(better grades) but that's sumthing i put aside.
right now, i'm just hoping that i'll get at least wad i think i should get. But now that with all the careless mistakes i've made... T.T
